Imagine what a traditional stander or walker looks like.

That rigid, metallic, medical device used by millions of children and adults with disabilities around the world.
Now imagine wanting to play, explore, or connect, but your hands must stay on the frame.

Meet Kangarun.

an open-source dynamic stander, co-designed with and for toddlers with disabilities, enabling them to practice standing and walking - freely and playfully.

What Sets Kangarootz Apart?

  • Hands-free design | Freedom to interact, explore, and play.

  • Active engagement | Encourages playful, independent standing.
  • Open-source | Easy local manufacturing with TOM Global guidelines.
  • Affordable & accessible | Built on principles of frugal innovation, using low-cost, globally available materials.

  • Global impact | Bringing dynamic standing to communities worldwide.

Market Implementation

  • Over 30 rehabilitation centers across Israel have integrated the product.

  • Used by children with a wide range of diagnoses and functional levels.
  • Each implementation included close collaboration between physiotherapists, kindergarten managers, and teachers, with direct support from TOM’s design and para-medical teams.

What users are saying?

" I just wanted to share how significant and meaningful the Kangarootz has been in her life. From a physiotherapist who never believed my daughter would walk and thought she would always be in a wheelchair today, she understands it’s a completely different story"
